John Broussard – Athletic Director & Assistant Principal, Murrieta Mesa High School
For the past ten years, I have had the privilege of serving as the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Murrieta Mesa High School, leading a program that exemplifies Character, Community, and Championships—the foundation upon which all of our success is built.
Athletics teach invaluable lessons about hard work, teamwork, selflessness, integrity, and goal setting. Beyond the game, sports have a unique way of bringing people together, fostering a deep sense of pride that extends beyond our student-athletes to our families, alumni, and the greater Murrieta community. We are not just building teams—we are building a legacy.
That legacy includes multiple CIF championships, state playoff appearances, and state titles, solidifying Murrieta Mesa as a premier athletics program. These accomplishments are not simply about winning; they are a reflection of the culture of excellence we have cultivated over the years.
I firmly believe that championships are a byproduct of doing the first two things well—building strong character and fostering a thriving community. When we commit to valuing the journey rather than solely focusing on the destination, we create an environment that fosters pride, unity, and long-lasting success.
It is an honor to serve this community, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our dedicated coaches, staff, and families. My greatest motivation comes from empowering student-athletes—not just in competition, but in their growth as individuals who will go on to achieve their greatest aspirations, both on and off the field.
Once a Ram, Always a Ram.
